As usual, the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) department usually presents the most inquisitive and attractive specimens that have been developed and configured for special customers by this customization program. On this occasion the McLaren 720S MSO ‘Stealth’ appears, which has an aesthetic configuration similar to that used by one of the specimens presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2017, the event where the 720S publicly debuted. This unit was commissioned by a British customer at the official dealer of the brand in London. The most characteristic feature of this example is the gray MSO Defined Sarthe Gray that is used in the bodywork and is inspired by the McLaren F1 winner of the Le Mans 24 Hours of 1995. A paint finish that has a very marked texture, part of the stealth military aircraft.Except for certain details of color, the complete composition is very darkened, since in addition to the dark gray that covers the whole body emerge elements of carbon fiber and the alloy wheels in black color. The colored touch is given by a series of red lines Vermillion Red. These lines were hand painted and took from the craftsmen of MSO about 200 hours of laborious work.In the interior comes a very similar scheme, since all the elements and coatings are of black color and of carbon fiber, except for certain touches of red Apex Red, that we find in some insertions and the seams of the work of upholstering.Essentially, this specimen specially configured by McLaren MSO does not differ from the rest of the regular units, at least not at the technical level. Like all McLaren 720s, under the rear hood we find the 4.0-liter M840T V8 twin-turbo engine that delivers 720 hp and 770 Nm of maximum torque, and which is coupled to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission. For those who closely follow the tuning industry know that Carlex Design is one of the references. The Polish preparer is specialized in modifying the interiors of all types of vehicles to create unique environments that offer total exclusivity and a personalized air, regardless of brand or model. A clear example is this latest project carried out by the preparer, where the protagonist was the new McLaren 720S.A copy of the already radical and extreme superstar of McLaren passed through the facilities of Carlex Design and the result can be seen in the images below. The interior has been completely renovated, and although not customary in Carlex Design’s work, it has also been given a personal touch on the exterior of the 720S.Taking a first look at the exterior of the McLaren 720S prepared by the Poles, they quickly catch the eye of all the modifications made. The eagle wings that were painted on both doors create a very striking contrast with the outer carbon fiber package present in numerous bodywork elements. The game of exterior colors is also an identity password. But what really matters in this Carlex Design work is inside. A passenger compartment that also receives the carbon fiber package offered by McLaren. All upholstery and trimmings of the standard model have been replaced. The preparer chose to use a large amount of Alcantara, leather and carbon fiber along with padded and perforated finishes.Pedals, door panels, steering wheel, center console, carpets, instrument panel and even the ceiling. All these parts and elements of the interior were subject to change. It took three weeks to complete all the modifications and virtually no details of the interior remained unchanged. There is nothing new about the mechanical part. The McLaren 720S modified by Carlex Design is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that develops 720 hp and 770 Nm of maximum torque. This engine is coupled to a seven-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drive system. Thanks to this mechanics, the British sports car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 341 km / h.

During the last Hall of Geneva we had the presentation of one of those extravagant projects that the preparer Mansory usually reveals. It was his particular vision of one of the most capable athletes of the moment, namely the McLaren 720S.The German preparer surprised again with his extensive imagination and showed a copy with a very different image of the original model, with a specific body kit that was made of carbon fiber and whose elements make the British model a much more aggressive, flashy and, perhaps, excessive. However, since taste is not discussed, there may always be someone interested in modifying your 720S and turning to that specialist. It seems that someone has been running in London for a few weeks and thanks to the Autogespot staff and the video below we can get an idea of the McLaren 720S prepared by Mansory.Recalling that the work done by the German preparer not only affected the visual appearance of the 720S, but also the mechanical part, where the engine remains the turbocharged V8 4.0-liter. Thanks to the relevant modifications of the Mansory, the power of the eight-cylinder block rose to 755 hp and maximum torque up to 780 Nm, enough to reach 100 km / h in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 345 km / H.

The Novitec division specializing in the preparation and modification of the McLaren supersports, presented its latest work, which is one of the most exclusive and fast models that are currently marketed by the British manufacturer. This is the McLaren 720S. The German coach has unveiled his new package of improvements designed specifically for this model.Aesthetically the changes are subtle, although their set allows to give the McLaren 720S of a more interesting image. The bodywork kit made of carbon fiber consists of a front spoiler, a new splitter, new air intakes as well as side skirts that remarkably improve the aerodynamic performance of the McLaren supercar. If we take a look at the rear of the McLaren 720S prepared by Novitec, in addition to a new bumper, the diffuser and the Gurney airfoil improves downforce. The trainer highlights that each of the new components for the body was designed for aerodynamics. This has a direct impact on the vehicle’s behavior, especially on the corners. The bodywork kit is completed with new housings for the exterior rearview mirrors, rear engine cover, side fenders for the rear bumper and air intakes on the hood. But the exterior modifications do not end there, as it also equips new forged Novitec MC1 20 and 21 inch wheels – front and rear axle, respectively. The wheels are available in silver, black and anthracite gray, and are paved by Pirelli P-Zero high performance tires.Novitec also offers optional components such as a stainless steel exhaust system and a new set of springs specifically designed to work in conjunction with the McLaren 720S ‘active damping system. In relation to the mechanical part, the 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine was also subject to change. Remembering that it generates a power of 720 hp and 770 Nm as standard. Well, the preparer offers three stages of power to achieve the desired level of performance. Level 1 can reach 773 hp and 849 Nm. On the other hand, level 2 is curiously the most powerful, as it produces 806 hp and 878 Nm of maximum torque. With regard to level 3, the power achieved is 791 hp and 863 Nm.In its most powerful configuration, the Novitec’s McLaren 720S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 346 km / h. The sprint from 0 to 200 km / h is completed in 7.5 seconds.

There are not many preparers who have dared to work on the cars left behind at the McLaren facility. The last to do this was the Germans at Wheelsandmore, who introduced their new set-up program for the McLaren 720S. A complete package of improvements where all kinds of modifications come to leave the British model in an even more extreme supercar. It may be that for some buyers of the McLaren 720S the 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with 720 hp and 770 Nm of maximum torque is not enough. This is where the first level preparers found a niche to develop their own potentiation kits, which, together with other adjustments in the visual part, allow a striking result. In the Wheelsandmore catalog it is already possible to find a power kit for the McLaren 720S. A package that in turn is divided into two steps. The first of them allows to increase the power of the engine in 50 hp and 80 Nm to reach the 770 hp and 850 Nm of maximum torque. On the other hand, the second offers an increase of 80 hp and 110 Nm.If the option is the most extreme, the final result will be a McLaren 720S with 800 hp and 880 Nm. In order to reach these numbers, the preparer realized an optimization in the ECU and installed a new sport exhaust system of greater yield. For now, Wheelsandmore has not provided details on how the 720S will perform with its most extreme powertrain kit.Recalling that the series model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 341 km / h. It will not be surprising that with an increase of 80 hp can improve those numbers. Another modification included in the enhancement package is the various adjustments in the suspension to modify the distance from the body to the ground. In addition to all the options available to Wheelsandmore to customize exteriors and interiors of vehicles, in this case it shows the McLaren 720S equipped with new 20- and 21-inch wheels (front and rear axles) driven by high performance Pirelli tires.

Novitec’s first approach to the McLaren 720S was unveiled in August of this year, with the German coach leaving that supersport with fantastic 806 horsepower Now, a few months later, Novitec returned to the load and presented a body kit to accompany this increase in horsepower. This body kit completely transforms the image of the McLaren 720S and consists of a new front bumper with new and larger air intakes, a roof with a competing car style air intake, a new rear bumper, a huge active airfoil and more prominent side skirts.Named McLaren 720S N-Largo by Novitec, this British supersport has taken a much more aggressive image as it approaches its bigger brother, the McLaren Senna. These visual changes are certainly not going to please everyone, but those customers who are part of the group of people who consider that a standard 720S is not exclusive enough.

The radical image does not leave anyone indifferent, but the engine does not either. The 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo block of the 720S remains the same as the standard, but Novitec installed a new engine control unit (ECU) that left it with 806 horsepower and 878 Nm of maximum torque. These numbers make the 720S N-Largo accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.7 seconds and from 0 to 200 km / h in 7.5 seconds. In relation to the maximum speed, it is fixed at 346 km / h, 5 km / h more than the 720S as standard.Novitec has not yet revealed the price of this transformation, but considering that we are facing one of the most impressive super sports in the market, surely this proposal will cost a small fortune.
